[TPR] What we are about . . . .

Dr. Engles,
(Dr. as in Doctor of Pantera's from the Pantera Research Institute (PRI))

I would love nothing more than to spend time in the Northwest PRI lab
putting together the next great engine to stuff in the Pantera. Ah, the
bliss of making sure all the specs are right, assembling all the pieces,
torquing to spec, trying a new cam/head/intake combination, firing it up
for the first time..... <sigh>

Last time it took me about $4,000 to do that. Not bad when you consider
what the big boys get for a rebuild. But....

If I even had that money, it would be going to new coil-over shocks and
springs, new wheels/tires, new radiator, and then SSCC entry fees, hotel
and travel costs.

As for a refresh.... same story except throw in the fact I have the
-original- engine in my Pantera and when I take it out, it's going into
storage for a fairly warmed-over stock rebuild (nothing real fancy).
