2.    first read the Read the RULE BOOK....biggest change is SA2010 or later SNELL rated HELMETS NOW REQUIRED.
3.    Complete application and send in $150 deposit if you are shy on cash to hold your place for event. You now will get a $150 dollar refund if you cancel with in 30 days.
4.    Read the tire requirements if you have not read them before. You need minimum V speed rated tires NOT U or H rated. Reason is Eric Patterson Tech rule is Panteras are capable of 150+ MPH speeds...No tire cracking or flatspots Paul all most got DQ'd before he ran his Viper last year because he had some tire scuffing on TIRE but it was on inside edge where you really had to look to find it.  Personally I recommend a Y or Z rated tire and remember too the tire has to meet the mfg date stamp. Last year Asa (thank you) Laughton and I noticed we had a damaged tire....because it was last minute we could not find replacement Conti's in time to get them to Vegas or Ely by Friday I had to buy all new tires in Vegas....so again check your tires on inside and outside edges not just the tread. 
5.    No broken or cracked windshields.
6.  Clothes if you are running Touring/Grand Touring you only need leather shoes with no holes so most any comfortable shoe will pass tech for those speed divisions, and NO shorts or short sleeved shirts.
7,  Remember Ely is at 6,435' ELEVATION. Temps in ELY in September run from 85 F to as low as FREEZING....and snow on the cars Sunday morning of race day....SO MAKE SURE YOU ADD COOLANT.....several people have broke engines because they were used to NEVER using coolant at track events....

That code gets you the Silver State event DISCOUNT...If they say WHAT reservations discountthen you have been connected to an agent for the hotel and hang up. Don't ask me how I know.
You will get total refund if you have to cancel.
Same applies in Ely....Get your hotel/motel discounts NOW not later...otherwise you will end up at the Roach Motel and if you are interested JB can give you the details. That little town has more hotels and motels then anyplace in Nevada. And they don't offer any discounts that weekend since so many of the hotels will be booked....but if you wait too long that $45-55 dollar a night room goes up about 20% or more come Silver State weekend...
You guys who have been to Ely recently please add any tips you have too...I am personally staying at Hotel Nevada downtown Ely but I made my reservations last September!LOL
Remember this is 30th Annivarsary too so get your (JB & Peter) reservations in NOW
