Picked up the car trailer today. Having trouble with lights... apparently the left turn works on the truck right rear corner, but the wire going to the trailer connector is dead. I'm going to have to kludge something in there by next week.
I leave for Las Vegas tomorrow night for a work trip, attending a conference. I'm back Friday night late. I'll have four days to get everything else sorted and be on the road Wednesday morning the 16th.

Good advice Bob. This new one was so tight I nearly couldn't even get it on the post. but if it does work loose, I will be putting a ring terminal on it.

Looks like you're pretty much all ready to go play with Dawgy @ SSCC Asa........GREAT job! FYI, just keep an eye on that push on connector on your temp sender. Mine worked its way off from vibration(?) several times on me over the years to the point that I ended up cutting it off & replacing it with a ring terminal & double nutting it. PIA but hasn't given me any trouble since.... :o))

Sounds good AJ. Only 11 days to the SSCC now... :-)
Just looking at your top picture, at the plastic fuel filter.
Looks a bit contaminated/dark colored.
Perhaps worth replacing it?

I also used a multi-meter at each stage of installation to make sure the teflon tape wasn't interfering with a good ground. All is good.

The carb feels good, the pull feels good; it seems pretty smooth, once warm it idles at about 650 and purrs. Alignment is now done, ZF fluid is changed, roll bar padding is on. Oil temp sender works, A/F gauge works (it was -really- handy for setting mixture). New cap, rotor, plug wires, coil wire and spark plugs (NGK UR4). New tires are mounted, balanced and on the car; date codes are are all early 2015, front are matched and backs are matched.
