Subject: [TPR] SSCC Prep: Harness Date check

My photos are attached. My driver's side goes "not valid after 2017" and
my passenger side is "not valid after 2014." So, if I take a passenger,
I need a new harness. Looks like no navigators for me this year.

How about you?

Here are the 2015 Rules from the SSCC Rule Book:

- Touring (95, 100, 105, 110): Factory seat belts, OEM or better in "as
new" condition. Recommend belts no more than five years old. Recommend
proper racing harness.

- Grand Touring (115, 120, 125): A five or six-point safety harness
system that includes three-inch (3”) shoulder and lap belts as a minimum
(see “Restraint Systems” section, including note on Harness Bars). All
belts must be in “as new” condition. Sternum belts are recommended for
seats that do not support the shoulder straps.

- Grand Sport (130, 135, 140, 145, 150): A five or six-point safety
harness system that includes three-inch (3”) shoulder and lap belts as a
minimum (see “Restraint Systems” section, including note on Harness
Bars). All belts must be in “as new” condition, no more than four (4)
years old. Sternum belts are recommended for seats that do not support
the shoulder straps, however large metal buckles on the sternum strap
are not recommended. The use of a “cam-lock” seat belt locking system is
recommended.

- Super Sport (160, 170): A five or six-point safety harness system that
includes three inch (3”) shoulder and lap belts as a minimum (see
“Restraint Systems” section). All belts must be in “as new” condition,
dated and must be no more than two (2) years old.
