Well, I pulled the trigger tonight on the A/F meter, I settled on the Innovate MTX-L model. This will allow me to add more instruments in the chain as I can afford them later (for things like RPM, vacuum MAP signal and other stuff). Along with it I ordered a gauge pod to mount it on the roll bar, and a new rear view mirror. When the A/F gets here I'll call my neighbor to have him weld in the O2 sensor bung, then we'll find out what the carb has been doing. :)

If I had some extra money (running dangerously low for SSCC at this point), I'd have my friend fix up the old rusty Hall headers I have and use those instead. If I -really- had extra money, I think I'd go for that setup Wilkinson has, with the headers and new mufflers based on the GTS.

Oh, and for those living vicariously through the adventures of others....
Shelley and I purchased a new mattress for the master bedroom a couple weeks ago, that shot $1,600 of the tax return. She is sleeping -much- more comfortably now than on my 30-year-old waterbed (flame suit on). This weekend, we're heading out to buy a new dishwasher as the old one is on it's last legs after being fixed several times over the last 10 years, I figure we'll shell out between $600 and $800 on that. (Nomex underwear on... flame away). These two items seriously dug into my SSCC fund for 2014, but we're not to the trigger pull date -yet-, ask me again in July if I'll be able to make it.
