Do we have anyone planning to attend in May. JB and I are both buried in work and may be able to fly up IF we have any of our guys are gonna run.

I just looked at the calendar and realized that even though August has just started we are about SIX WEEKS AWAY from the start of race weekend!

DEADLINES:
Pre-printed Car Number Decals – April 17, 2014 -Your entry must be received and paid in full, by this date in order to have your Car Number Decals pre-printed.
 
Sam’s Town Hotel, Las Vegas – April 29, 2014 - To receive the special rate of $29.00 plus 12% tax, be sure to make your room reservations!

ENTER EARLY & SAVE MONEY!
Late entries, and Entries not paid in full, within two weeks prior to the event will add $50.00. This includes last minute entries on race weekend. “Event” is defined as the day all functions/activities begin which is the Thursday of race weekend.
For NORC: Entries must be received by May 1, 2014
 
SCHEDULE CHANGES - Half Mile and One Mile Shootouts:
BOTH the Half Mile & One Mile Shootouts will take place on Fridays (10am-3pm).
If by chance they are rained out on Friday, BOTH the Half Mile & One Mile Shootouts will be conducted on Saturday (11am-4pm). 
REGISTRATION:  8am-9:15am for Shootout Participants ONLY.
TECH INSPECTION:  8am-9:30am for Shootout Participants ONLY. 
Please plan accordingly!  If you are in line for either Registration or Tech Inspection, make sure those ahead of you are for the Shootouts, otherwise move ahead of them.
 
SATURDAY CAR SHOW:

With the change in the Shootout schedule, please everyone plan on attending the Car Show.  The Course Workers and Locals really enjoy seeing your cars up close and also meeting the drivers.
It is your way to say “Thank You” to the city and the many volunteers! 
  
ROOKIES:
We have a "Rookie" tab on the website located under Race Preparation. Just some "Fast Facts" to make your first time participation a little less stressful. We tried to address some of the common questions or mistakes to avoid.http://www.sscc.us/rookies.aspx
         
CONFIRMATIONS:
I have been trying to get caught up on entries so if you have already registered prior to today, I will be sending you confirmations in the next few weeks.  Veteran racers will be receiving theirs via email and Rookies will be getting theirs in the mail that will include a pre-race DVD.
 
COURSE WORKERS:
As there are no spectator areas on the "Silver State Classic Challenge Highway", aka Hwy. 318, we are always in need of course workers! If your family, friends or crew would like to watch as you race down the road at speed, please have them sign up to be Course Workers! As a course worker they will receive (per gate) a hat, 2 t-shirts, 2 bottles of water and be entered in a drawing for a chance to win $100.00! (Ten gates are pulled). Also, once equipment is returned and verified, they will receive a check from the SSCC for $50.00.
