Hi gang,
Here is my oil report from Blackstone labs. This is the first oil
analysis on the brand new engine that I ran for the first time at Silver
State last year. A quick recap on what was done to that engine:
- New main and rod bearings after having found the originals trashed
- Block cleaned, crank polished
- New piston rings
- Heads refreshed (seals, valve-grind, new valves where needed) (already
had single-piece valves)
- New gaskets and seals
- New Armando 10-qt oil pan
- Two bottles of engine assembly lube
- Amsoil break-in oil for about 1,000 miles and then switched to the 15W-50
- Running highest octane pump gas (92 I believe, not race gas)

So here is the report. It shows high copper which they elude to is
probably due to break-in of the new engine. I'll admit I'm new to the
oil analysis game but I want to play. I'm comfortable with their
recommendation to change the oil and sample again in about 3,000 miles.

For those who haven't seen one before, enjoy. For those who have please
take a look and let the bench racing begin. :)

Have fun now,
