Today I spent time cleaning the pistons:

Then I inspected the oil pump:

I think I'll be getting a new oil pump.  The pistons on the other hand are
ready to re-install.

Time to sit back, enjoy the holiday and wait for parts.

PS.  The engine just ate my tire budget.  It may be another couple months
before I have enough.  I'm trying to sell stuff though so maybe I'll get
some cash sooner.
