[TPR] WHERE HAVE ALL THE OLD CARS GONE?? Re: SS 2011

Steve,

I've been down that road many times, so probably wouldn't make a special trip to do it at 70 MPH! :)  Might be the best way is to study the coarse notes on the SSCC web site and then just go there a day earlier before the race and make the run and update your notes.  Its 1200 miles round-trip from Santa Clara, so its a lot of driving to take notes on a 90-mile stretch of road!

Does anyone know if the 90 miles distance is measured in one lane or by taking the line you would use when in the race (you often use all the road from edge to edge in turns)?

I think the most important distance markers are the last couple ones measured back from the finish, not the start.

J

The goal of the 70 MPH run is to allow folks to get their mile markers dialed in outside of the 'ticket' window - ie if you get a ticket on 318 within 30 days of the next race you are DQ'd...

Besides, it's a fun drive - for me that is a 1200 mile round trip...

Now if I can get enough cars to run and a pair of folks to do start/finish line timing we're on :-)
