[TPR] tires and wheels

AJ,
we need to change the "I'm told" to "I know"! :)
If we can find some type of production car wheels that will fit, that would be great. Then we can start looking in junkyards and craigslist.
Standard steel wheels can be found for $50, which is closer to our target. I'm guessing the offset will not be quite right, so we're looking for anyone that has tried this.
Can you give your Mustang guy a call and see if he has any ideas?

I'm told, but have not verified yet, that Mustang Cobra R wheels fit
nicely in a 17x8. And I think they can be had for as little as about
$150 each, maybe less depending on where you get them. I've been
meaning to check it out and had a guy in our local Mustang club all
lined up but we've not got together to do a test fit.
