How can I get excited about running with you guys if I can't find you? Yea, I
know its scary thinking
about racing a legend like me but I am not running again until at least one of
you shows up...
Pay out $5,000 dollars ain't enough to find you? Well the money is gone now
anyway. Everything is
gone.
I don't know why I am writing this....everyone is gone. How long ago did you
write this AJ?
The real reason I never got past Vegas was I drank a little too much Tuesday
night and woke up
with a splitting headache Thursday. I yelled to see if John Bentley, Bob
Benson, Erik Belter, Jason
Eaton, Peter Menyhart, Dick Drenske, Larry Stock, Doc Abe, Dan Courtney, Charlie
Puckett, Junior
Wilson, Rich Hoppe, Dave Doddek, Bud-7-pistons, Bobby Byers, and even yelled out
Laurie Basile's
name....all were missing.
Not even the real Texans like Gray Gregory or Steve "Hawk" Hawkinson were
there.
But they weren't in Texas either......HAHAHAHA Yea, ALL painfully missing in
action!
Friday rolls around again and now my Pantera is missing too. I go down the
elevator and the casino's
are empty.....in fact Vegas is empty.....EVERYONE IS GONE!
The good news is there was still cold beer on tab in every casino in
Vegas! Why would I ever leave. . .
Friday I wake up a third time (Ground Hog Day?) and realize I am not gonna make
it to Ely and who
would miss me anyway?
If everyone is gone yet there is STILL cold beer then maybe I died and went to
heaven? Or could
this maybe be HELL?
So I ask you WHO AM I WRITING TO?
Okay, so no one showed up....not a very good excuse huh? Like the DOG ate my
homework.
To read the REAL answer you need to read my response to AJ's email on
shocks...hmmm, very
convenient no?
In mean time soon as I stop crying like a girl we have really got to get some of
the veterans out to
SS in September in a Pantera or something that looks like something that is a
red headed stepchild....
or even some rookies or some monkey's on crack with a Pantera so if you are a
veteran monkey
or a racer monkey or you have somehow survived the holocaust in Texas you need
to go
to Silver State in September. I am hearing everyone will be BACK before 2012 and
you all know what
happens in 2012!
SURFS UP BABY!

No, not Porsche.... PORCH.
Just got word from Team Pantera President Dennis "Mad Dawg" Antenucci
that he's out of the running for this years Nevada Open Road Challenge.
He left home earlier in the week after a meticulous series of tune-ups
and test runs in California. However, it seems he discovered a
suspension problem after taking the Pantera off the trailer for a test
drive around town in Vegas or Ely I'm not sure which yet. Being
prudent, especially when running anything above a 110 class, Dennis
evaluated options and finding none that could be applied in time,
decided the better part of valor was to not race. I'm sure he'll fill
us in on the details later.
So the $5,000 challenge moves to September when he believes he'll have
the Pantera all sorted out and ready to run again. Anyone else plan on
taking him up on that?
