Yo My Peeps,
I all most forgot to mention Rod Kunishe (aka"Portagese Rod") came over this
weekend to help me align the shift linkage on the Pantera. Sometime after
running the NORC last May after I came home I had trouble grabbing 2nd.
I was hoping it wasn't a synchro or the clutch or the slave, etc... but yea you
know how those best laid "maybe-I'll-get-lucky" works! ;-)> But in this case I
did get lucky.....somehow the linkage had just moved forward just enough that
grabbing 2nd gear didn't work real well....Maybe SLAMMING the shifter didn't
help ;-))))>
Had a chance this morning to drive the Pantera in out of rush hour traffic and
then again at lunch on a much faster road and it ran and shifted beautifully.
Thanks again Rod as well as all the others (Russ & Dick) who have helped me this
last year. The stroker with the ir-efi is still pulling and screaming like a
scalded cat so counting my blessings.
Good Times
