DaWg,
I think you also are not running any thermostat (higher coolant flow rate). Is there a plug in the block under the thermostat housing? Do you know if you have a plate on your water pump impeller?

Pope,
It is dual pass Ron Davis CUP radiator and Fluidyne heat exchanger for oil temp control.....
Dick had to cut clips and shoe horn the Davis rad in to fit but it works great and has for 3-4 years and never saw water temps go up at SilverState/BORR orrs......in fact water temps go DOWN not up near finish line....
I have just one single sucker fan for heavy traffic on back side of rad and the only time I have had to use it of late was transition from H-395 to I-15 freeway where traffic deadheading into L.A was bad and SLOW......The fan came on at 200 about 20 minutes in crawling 2-5mph traffic....
Water temp went up from a 170-180 F run all the way back from Reno to a max of 200 F in
traffic jam Sunday....using Autometer Pro-Comp gauges...soon as the traffic started moving again the temps moved back down to 170-180F on water and180-190 F in traffic......
ORR temps quickly stabalize at 180 water and 200 on oil.......... btw I am using 3.77 ring gear and taller 655 5th
