5003 = Photo of left side ----- same type breather on right side
These breathers are the push in type -- grommet was a plug, so bottom had to be removed. I left as much of sides as I could ------ I had just grommet inserted into right cover and oil was present at grommet bottom edge/lip -- if I stuck the PCV valve into that big grommet opening with it's hose to manifold installed -- it would suck oil. The manifold vacuum at 3000 rpm it 20.

Actually, I'm glad you found that out, though I too am curious why it
would be sucking so much oil. Could it be because there was no filter
restriction on the air going -in- the other valve cover? Interesting
thought that it might be getting oil shot up to it from the rockers.
Probably why the fancy cast covers have the baffles.
I also am guessing this new engine has more vacuum. Let us know what
it reads when you put a gauge on it.
