Well, I have never seen a situation where 20 inches of manifold vacuum could possibly translate into pistons, valves, cam, etc not working correctly at any pressure altitude. Now if the valve cover with the PCV attached had no baffle and enough oil pressure I can easily see it sucking up oil although frankly why anyone wants to use a PCV on a 70's car where smog isn't a factor is beyond me. Me I'd use a couple as tall as fits breather tubes with filters on them. Bud - what does the oil pressure read? And while I'm not a pro like Russ I have built and run engines for myself all my life so while I could easily be wrong...
