Because (Russ), we like to talk in terms of suck and blow.  :)

So really, what you're saying is that Bud lives at an altitude that  
has less atmospheric pressure which compounds the atmospheric pressure  
drop typically found at the base of the carb, sooooo..... the build-up  
of pressure in his crankcase creates a terribly mis-matched  
differential pressure.  This of course leads to his crankcase blowing  
oil into the intake (path of least resistance).

or is it that he lives at such a low altitude that the atmosphere  
pressure pushing into the one valve cover is over-pressurizing his  
crankcase creating the large pressure differential at the base of the  
carb?

Holy cats... now I've got myself confused
:)

I still say the carb was sucking too much oil through the PCV.
