[TPR] Grooved Bearings

All,
as I remember, grooved bearings were to supply oil to the journal (as 
stated).  I suppose some argument could be made for loss of bearing surface?

Not sure what current thinking is - would love to hear what Dan has to say 
and/or Russ (is he on the list?)
