[TPR] wtf?

OK, raise your hand if you have ever successfully replaced your valve springs with the engine/heads in the car.....  I hear crickets..... :)  ....damn cooling bottles.......

I gotta put the second valve springs in my engine since it is now broken-in if there is any hope of getting to NORC.  I've tried the old rope trick, any one of over 6 or 7 valve spring compressors, etc.  I'm now pressurizing the cylinders in hopes of keeping the valve up long enough to insert the second spring.

I've tried the piston at TDC, but the coil seems to bind before the valve touches the piston.  Does anyone know if you can compress the valve spring enough with the piston at TDC with closed-chamber heads (and flat-top pistons) so you can remove the keepers before the springs bind?  -----924-16 comp cam springs----
