2010 is shaping up to be another great year in Open Road Racing.  After a one year hiatus, Mike Borders has returned with MKM Racing Promotions to run the Mojave One Mile Shootout and the Bonneville 100.  At this time, over 50% of the open slots are taken for the Mojave shootout.  If you want to get in on that action, you need to visit their website now.  The event takes place in March, that's just over a month away.

Coming up right after the Mojave shootout will be the Texas Big Bend Open Road Race in April, followed by the Nevada Open Road Challenge in May.  No breaks yet, the return of the Bonneville 100 happens in June.  Then it's a month off for good behavior and getting the Pantera ready for the tail end of the season.

The Sandhills Open Road Challenge is in August, in Nebraska.  That same month we have the Virginia City Hill Climb.  Wrapping up the season is the Silver State Classic Challenge in September.  Then you can put the kitty to bed and treat her well over the winter months.

If you are not ready yet, you need to be.  Head out to the individual web sites and download the rule books.  Read up, check over your Pantera, pay attention to tires and safety equipment.  There's no reason you too can't participate in one of these events.

If you need more information or encouragement, register on Team Pantera Racing and gain access to the forum where veterans and rookies alike ask questions and get answers.  We have targeted team captains who head up each event and they are the subject matter experts.  You can also contact them via our Contact page, just select the Team Captain for the event you are interested in and Team Pantera Racing automatically sends your request.

Nuthin' to it, but to do it.
