Heads had no valve recession and fairly low mile. New York trip was done with my other engine. We made it back from Eau Clair Wi. to Salem in 17 hours without stopping except for gas. Previous mention engine. It has the only cam offered by SVO back in the day (1980's) and it was a wonderful performer. I ran a Edelbrock dual plane. It was the engine that I ran at 105 mph all night threw Montana. I have custom scoops on my car and I ducted cold air to a hand made stainless plenum box atop a 730 cfm Holley carb. I stopped at Dearborn for the national Shelby convention and no one believed we drove there! (The car was red then) I have a photo of it parked with all the others on a rise buy the headquarters. After that I went to Niagara falls and came back threw part of Canada down to Wisconsin. Oh ya, did the Shelby Club open track at Mid Ohio on the way in to Dearborn. It was fun back then. Most drove very hard. A Boss 429 got a ticket leaving Dearborn for about 126mph getting on the free way by HQ. It was blown if I remember correctly and was published in the SAAC news letter.</div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"><br></div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false">I am off to Vegas by myself for the Barrett auction.
