Good news for certain, if the country is re-opened by then.....<br>
If not... we'll just have to break some rules, but we're Team
Pantera Racing... when -haven't- we broken a few rules? :)<br>

Reminder: If you reserved rooms in Ely or Vegas for the May
event... CANCEL THEM!<br>
I keep forgetting to call myself, and need to do that, or be faced
with a charge for a night I didn't have any fun in Ely.<br>

Yes, the Mach I has been moved from my buddy's shop to my own. Mad
Dog sent the photo so you ya'll know what it looks like currently.
With the governor (and I use that term loosely) of Washington
extending his "stay at home" "order" to the end of May, it means I
probably won't get the building inspection for -another- month,
which means I can't cover up any work. This is gonna piss me off
something fierce pretty soon. I need to get wiring in, insulation
in and then cover with OSB. Right now I'm keeping a four to five
foot walk space between any objects and the walls so the inspector
can take a walk around, but that's using up precious floor space
that I wan to recover and begin using -soon-. Besides, I'm on week
seven of stay-at-home and I can already feel my immunity lowering.<br>
<br>
I've got a few more things to pull from the car (windshield, dash,
wiring, steering column) and then get the body blasted. I'll
probably use one of those eco-friendly soda blasting contractors
instead of sandblasting. It keeps the metal cooler and prevents
warping. Or I need to find a decent 1967 or 68 cougar to build. :)<br>

It's a great time to buy a Pantera though. George Dausch (spelling)
is selling his for $45K, no questions asked, just give him the money
and it's yours. Drive-it-away complete. That and Dawg found a deal
in Idaho. Good grief, if only I had that kind of spare cash. But,
Shelley and I have a three-year plan mapped out and that's not in it
currently. Maybe in year five or six....<br>

Good times. Staying at home, putting in way too many hours for
work. Good news is, Shelley is on her last quarter of University.
She's engaged in her capstone projectd and making decent progress. I
expect she'll get through this class with a solid B, if not a solid
A. She's been attending the on-line sessions with the instructor
(not everybody has been) and been sequestered in her office doing
research pretty much eight hours every day.<br>
<br>
Unfortunately, all the internships she had been applying for -and-
interviewing for have all been cancelled due to the lockdown
orders. We'll have to see what the job market has when we finally
"open for business" again. <sigh><br>
<br>
Sam is finally getting schoolwork again from the school; it only
took them three weeks.... I wasn't too happy but now it's starting
to roll again. He's doing pretty good. He and I went over to
Bullet's place today to catch them up on finances and visit a while.
He's doing pretty well since his last back surgery. Walking upright
and not complaining... so far. :)<br>

Okay, I think I've already reserved for the SSCC September event
with a suite at the Hotel Nevada. Better get your reservations in
now.<br>
<br>
And remember... Z-rated or better tires. Nothing but the best for
your Pantera.... tech inspection won't pass anything else.<br>

Mark, Gerry, JB, MD, Randy, and Paul will be bringing their rides. Lee in Salem is planning on coming this year and Because if his race history got waived for the rookie session in Vegas.Lee is working fm to get his Pantera ready or one of his Shelbys. Randy and ai May have to go to his house to help him. 😉 Paul our long time suffering sponsor😉 will being his Viper (stock Pantera Black) .......and then there are the Washington boyNWP Boyz (Mike, Bill, and Tim)....All prospects with projects in the making. Then there is ’The German’ a veteran racer who should be there with his Pantera but WILL be there with the TPR Parts & Beer tow vehicle. Veteran racer and published TPR writer Laurie Ferrari may also surprise us by showing up again this year and who knows who else may show up.
Only time will tell. just a reminder to those who missed the Bi-Law Board Meeting in 2018. All TPR members who bring a back up ride may party with us assuming they have a TPR Decal on their new C8.
