Probably the only "update" you slackers will get all year long.

So LISTEN UP!

There may be two feet of snow at my house in Washington, but that's
no excuse to not start preparing for the 2017 Open Road Race
season. There's always something for everyone, even if the event
list isn't near as long as it was 20 years ago with the Gambler's
Run, Roadrunner challenge or Bonneville 100, there's still the
opportunity to GO FAST on a temporarily closed public road.

Events will come up FAST, before you know it, they'll be gone and
you will have missed out, so PAY ATTENTION!
Alright you Texas boys... Taphorn, you don't have a hair on your ass
if you don't enter and give us a report on this one this year. It's
been far tooooooo looooong since BBORR got any TPR awards. Make it
happen, and call Kirby and tell him we don't care what he races
(Pantera, GT40, Mustang).... just do it.
Nevada Open Road Challenge - 96 days and counting down, get more

We don't see too many Panteras here anymore so anyone who is ready
should jump on this one to practice for the SSCC later in the year.
Yea... if I had a car ready and robbed a bank I'd be there too.
Sandhills Open Road Challenge - 180 days and counting down, get
more info here:
We have a pretty steady and regular group of racers that frequent
this event. Heck, they are putting the west coasters to shame,
fielding three or more Panteras on a regular basis. The "team"
trophy would keep going to these guys if we had one. This event,
like the others, is a blast, except perhaps even more so because you
get to sleep with the townsfolk. Read that any way want, but ask
Rowdy for the explanation. Slots on this one fill up VERY fast, and
it might even be too late to get in for 2017. Again, Rowdy will
give us the low-down scoop on this.
This is my favorite. Why? Because it's the closest to me. :)
Having a money tree or a gold mine, I'd probably work my way to
-all- of the ORR events each year, but then again I'd bet most of
you would too. So start buying lottery tickets and share the
wealth so we can -all- have a good time racing our Panteras at all
the events. This is your President speaking... go make it happen!

Oh yea, and if you are wondering who won the TPR awards for last
year? Keep wondering. I've been keeping my trophy girl busy...
just not with the trophies <nudge-nudge, wink-wink>. And I
wouldn't want to spoil who the winners are by telling you, now would
I?

But I -can- tell you who won the presidential election.
Me! Mostly because no other slacker would take it and you wouldn't
know what to do with it anyway.
