PS. This summer we had nearly a fire a week visible from our home.
The closest was three houses down on July 5, dumbass neighbors
thought they could do fireworks and get away with it. Yea... two
different neighbors called them in and they got to experience lights
and sirens not only for illegally doing fireworks but for also
setting the field on fire behind their house. Next closest was
about four miles, then next was about eight miles. That one was
really big and I was watching DC-10 and MD-80 tankers being directed
in for retardant drops. The fires burning in the center of the
state are crazy huge and expected to burn until December possibly.
Smoke was so bad here a couple Saturday's ago that visibility was
down to about a quarter mile if that much. Wind came through,
picked up dust really bad and blew hard all day. The Sunday
afterward the temps dropped 20 degrees and the skies were clear.
It's taken another week for the central Washington fire smoke to
seep it's way back here again.<br>

Reminds me of JB, Erik and I driving through the mountains on the
way to Reno and seeing the mountain literally glow from the other
side. And all the smoke... wow, I do have photos of that.<br>

I just got home late last night from a work trip to Las
Vegas. I have a training thing to go to this morning, then
Sam and I have hair cuts this afternoon. Here is my list of
to-dos before I can go:<br>
- Change the fuel filter in Pantera<br>
- Re-install bulkhead cover in Pantera<br>
- Final SSCC tech inspection checklist<br>
- Change oil in the two rig<br>
- Fix left turn signal wiring to the trailer connector on the
truck<br>
- Final check/prep truck<br>
- Load car and most of truck Tuesday afternoon<br>
- Head out Wednesday morning<br>
