Yes, in the garage without a load. A couple others mentioned that
too so I'm not going to worry about it at this point.<br>
<br>
I'm off on a work trip the next three days and will get back to SSCC
prep this Saturday.<br>

while actually driving? If it's while in the garage then that
is normal since there isn't any load on the engine you will

Finally got back to the Pantera today.<br>

- Removed both vacuum hoses from the distributor and plugged
them.<br>
- Set 3,500 RPM timing to 35 degrees, blipping higher it
advances <br>
another degree or two maybe<br>
- Then check Initial timing at 650 RPM and it's 10 degrees<br>
- difference between idle and 3,500 RPM = 25 degrees<br>

The mechanical advance may not be putting enough advance in.<br>

- Then checked vacuum retard, it's working, retards timing
between 6 and <br>
10 degrees.<br>
- Pulled retard vacuum and plugged again<br>
- hooked up advance vacuum<br>
- No advance at idle. Vacuum advance -begins- to move timing
at about <br>
1,200 RPM<br>
- At 3,500 RPM, the vacuum advance is adding 10 degrees to
mechanical <br>
making a total of 45 degrees<br>
