Not a chance. </div><div>Trans fluid mainly + engine and turbo oil leaks.</div><div><br></div><div>It actually came out of the service shop 2 days before tech but it hasn't really been driven much in the last 24 years.</div><div>So the shakedown run was in fact our drive from LA to Vegas the day before SSCC tech. </div><div>But it didn't end very well as that trip caused those leaks to happen.</div><div><br></div><div>Anyway, it's better to get all problems before the race and not when blasting down the course at 165 mph.</div><div>So I believe it was for a reason...</div><div><br></div><div>Luckily "El Diablo" was stored in LV so they (Gail & SSCC) allowed me to change our entry at the last minute, after trying to remedy those leaks for two full days at a race shop in LV.</div><div><br></div><div>To put it short, it was an expensive nightmare when everything was goin' on but I am more relaxed now...</div><div><br></div><div>We even had an exploded rear tire just 23 miles before hitting Vegas on I-15. </div><div>Exactly 4 miles north of Jean, at mile marker 16...</div><div><br></div><div>We stayed stuck there on the curb in the utterly dark desert all night long for 15 hrs until the day after, before being able to get our a$$es and car into Vegas. </div><div><br></div><div>Inger was not very happy...not at all.</div><div>And AAA refused to tow/help us. </div><div>They came and then just went off...</div><div>Fcuk Triple A. Sorry to hear you didn't pass tech at NORC earlier this year. Was
that with the Lambo? Why did it fail tech? Tires or something
else? But we're glad to see you did get your older car to pass, I
assume that was the Mercedes. And you did really great on your
time, especially for the 150 class which is usually very crowded.<br>

We are looking forward to seeing you at SSCC this year.<br>

finally cooling down for a spell up here at the Pantera
Research Institute - Pacific Northwest Division. The
-smart- highway contractors always do their stuff at
night, and amazingly enough tend to finish ahead of
schedule and get decent bonuses. You need to work on
Paul to make sure he's got everything caught up and
under control so he can take five days off work to party
with the big dogs. He needs time off just like anyone
else. Besides, he hasn't experienced The Brazilian
Girls. Rowdy says he'll take it easy on them at SORC
and with a month off in between, they should be well
rested to party hard with us.</span><br>

don't know what they really are. Then, with whatever
time we have, we'll address whatever we can in his well
appointed shop. Maybe I'll get some photos while I'm

from The Tire Rack next week. I just need to look up
the "insider" guy we found so I can get some really
recent date codes. How did everyone else make out
