The old dog teaching the new kid some old tricks. </span></div><div><span></span> </div><div><span>Had a great time driving the new C7 vette. It performed very well. There were 3 courses, a slalom, short road course, and a little longer road course with esses going over a crest. This is the part of this track that I love.</span></div><div><span></span> </div><div><span>We were grouped according to our proficiency, thankfully. It was follow the leader ( in a Camaro) with the slowest driver determining the speed. On the short road course I was the last in line in a car with auto tranny. the car seemed to miss or stumble on two sections of the
track. Of course not knowing what all the buttons did meant that I was driving in the touring mode. Should have been in track mode. Live and learn. </span></div><div><span></span> </div><div></div><span><div>Next was the longer road course. This time I was right behind the leader in a stick shifter in track mode. Couldn't figure out how to determine if I was in rev matching or not. In car video will tell in a couple of weeks. Will send code to all at that time. You can be the judge, All I can say it was a blast till we got to the hairpin turn, then the leader stopped to wait for the last car to catch up. then off again. A total blast.<br></div><div>Last session was the slalom course. Took the stick car and was the middle car of 3. Did the slalom without using brakes. The car is quite responsive but a little heavy. </div><div> </div><div>Jim Wallace's says the what a car needs is just a credit card and a torque wrench.
