That brings back memories.<br>
I had a 1949 Willys Wagoneer with a four cylinder flathead and three
speed transmission, 4WD. It had a direct (honestly called) Bendix
drive starter. There was a large pushbutton above the gas pedal
that went through the firewall directly to the starter.<br>
<br>
It was fun pushing a toe against the starter button while trying to
feather the throttle with your heel.<br>

PS. It also had a hand crank that could be used on the front of the

How much room is there directly -behind-
the dash where that light<br>
goes? Mine is still installed and before
I take it out to see for<br>
myself, I thought I'd ask around. If it's
deep enough, I'm considering<br>
