Your plan to run in 100-110 class with a 125 Tech Speed you should be able to do all day long with your arm out the window holding a can of beer and a cigar but don't do that at your Rookie driving school! ;-)

<div style="font-family: 'times new roman', 'new york', times, serif;

Sage advice duly noted. :)
In all honestly, that's what I was going to end up doing anyway. I
mulled it over six ways from Sunday and decided I did -not- want to
mess with shims.

Most of my driving is freeway, some autocross, and hopefully Open Road
Racing this September. I have an M-6600-C3 Ford Racing High Volume
oil pump sitting on the shelf that's going to go into this as well
(unless it's recommended I don't use it). I'll monitor oil pressure
and maybe temp too since the oil pan I have has an extra tap.

You're comments have made me feel much more comfortable.
Thank you sincerely,
Asa Jay

Quoting russell fulp <musclebyrussell@hotmail.com>:

>
> Hi Asa:
> Personally if I were planning on road racing my car , I would
leave
> the main clearance alone ! If you were just idling around town it is
> one thing , but racing is quite different.
