Ohh yea those stories are legend...ther is some psych dealing with Tech.....for instance last Sept I "forgot" my harness was more then 2 years old and tje rules said they could not be more then 2 years old...so of course Head of Tech said,
"Your harness is outdated for your division wot ya gonna do?".....

I thought about it for a second and answered;

"Well I have never argued withTech so if you are saying I can't run then I'll load it up and go home or move down in class..."

Eric walked up and said,
"I'm sure if Dennis agrees to come back next year with a new harness we can give him a waiver this year"....and that was that....I got the waiver ;-)

>MD is right, Eric can be a real 'joy' to deal with but he is the tire god... I recall him telling me at 1300 saturday that my tires on the old mustang didn't qualify, 17 inchers and of course Ely didn't have replacements - so off for a 400+ mile round trip to tire rack distributor in Reno where I also brought back tires for a Pantera who had had a wheel bearing failure on his way there... we both made the race but that was ugly... Went faster on that trip than we did in the race - BTW - there are no gas stations on that trip after 2200... we came into Ely on vapors
