a crosshatch pattern.</DIV>

<DIV>Bearings: some wear noted, definately want to replace these. Also
some sign of dirt in oil!</DIV>

<DIV>When I pulled the pan I noticed gasket paper and glyptol chips
stuck to the oil screen, along with some pieces of metallic debris.
Not a good sign?</DIV>

<DIV>Anyway, pulled the crank and set it aside only to find 2 lobes of the
cam shot - now I get to buy a new cam!!!</DIV>
