The stock firewall cover is one full panel from side <BR>to side, up/down. The modification needed is to make the center part <BR>of the cover removable, much like the bulkhead cover itself.<BR><BR>Jack DeRyke
wrote up a procedure for modifying your own cover, in a <BR>newsletter article a few years ago. Kirk Evans makes a few different <BR>kits that are two piece firewall covers. You can get it as raw <BR>materials that you take to your local upholstery shop and have <BR>covered, or as a completed set you simply install. My plan was to get <BR>a set from him.<BR><BR>Then, once the roll bar or cage is installed, you simply remove the <BR>center from the firewall cover, then remove the center engine cover <BR>from the bulkhead.
