    Here you go.  This shows how the RobertShaw style thermostat opens. 
    It's tricky.  You'll need to keep it in water hot enough to open,
    for some time.  Thermostats don't just pop open, they move very
    slowly.  Once you are up to temp on the water, you need to give it a
    good five minutes to move and see daylight.<br>

                but every condition changes and then one must jump out
                and rip tape off, or apply a few more rows.  Kind of a
                funky thang to do in public when you are driving a nice
                purple Pantera.  do the chebbie driver have to do this?
