The issue on tire loading has been in the rule book for at least 20 years. </div><div
style="color: black; "><br></div><div style="color: black; ">Erik and others were willing to waive the "V" speed rating for guys up until a couple years ago but no more....the rules never changed (read all the Tech rules below)</div><div style="color: black; "><br></div><div style="color: black; ">3. Actually Gary Hall was one of the sources that Eric talked to who confirmed that ALL Pantera's that were mfg and imported into North America were imported on Pirelli V rated tires. So that was the standard set years ago on speed ratings. </div><div style="color: black; "><br></div><div style="color: black; ">4. I have seen about a dozen or more after market wheels on Pantera's at ORR's and some had SPACERS....but I don't ever remember anyone ever asking Tech if their wheels were okay....maybe Tech should have asked...Even Dan Courtney, Elliott Kushner and others have passed Tech with monster 19-20" ghetto aftermarket wheels and Eric
at SS or JohnT at BORR/SORC have not had a problem....but on the subject of SPACERS you are we opening up a can of worms with Tire Tech. . .Don't think you really want to go there do you? I didn't mean to touch a nerve here, I think we're all for gaining a <br>competitive advantage, and I think we'd all agree if it's in the rule <br>book we'll stick to it but if it isn't can you really fail me for it?<br><br>The trouble we have in this instance, is there are some things Pantera <br>owners have found out aren't in the rule book at SSCC but will fail <br>you anyway. One such item is that the rule book indicates the minimum <br>speed rating for the tires on your Pantera must be H rated. But we <br>have several people who can tell you first hand, they were failed at <br>tech because they showed up with "Rule Book legal" tires. Tech wants <br>to see V or higher.<br><br>So when it comes to the spacers, we just want to be sure.<br><br>If I've taken this too far, my apologies.
