I recently got a nice promotion at work, which means I can start<br>
saving for car parts again. First on my list and probably not able to<br>
purchase until October, is a new set of coilover shocks. The<br>
following are what I know about:<br>

QA1<br>
Aldan<br>
Telecar<br>

Well, we all know what I think of Telecar by now so I won't even<br>
consider those. I've heard some stories about Aldans leaking pretty<br>
soon after rebuild, but they -are- rebuildable. Same with QA1 and Koni.<br>
<br>
So my question to you, the knowledgeable Pantera racer, is:<br>
<br>
- What shock do you run? <font class="Apple-style-span" color="#FF0000">Aldan</font><br>
- What kind of experience do you have with them?<font class="Apple-style-span" color="#FF0000">Very good</font><br>
- What kind of racing are they suitable for<font class="Apple-style-span" color="#FF0000">?street as well as road for sure</font><br>
- What kind of adjustments?<font class="Apple-style-span" color="#FF0000">bound and rebound control</font><br>
- Did you buy them new<font class="Apple-style-span" color="#FF0000">?yes</font><br>
- Have they needed rebuilding?<font class="Apple-style-span" color="#FF0000">no- did damage 1 a rock came up and bent the rebound control screw they fixed it at no cost</font><br>
- What has been your customer service experience?<font class="Apple-style-span" color="#FF0000">very good</font><br>
- What about mounting? (bushings available or not, custom machining, etc.<font class="Apple-style-span" color="#FF0000">)I made my own for Pantera I use theirs for my longchamp</font><br>

I'm personally leaning toward the Koni's mostly because I can get them<br>
all set up and ready to install from Pantera Performance Center, but I<br>
also know Julian has had a lot of good things to say about QA1, and<br>
Dennis has had a lot of good things to say about his Aldans.<br>
<br>
Let the collective braintrust begin the discussion.<br>
