The 2010 Silver State Classic Challenge had a couple of unfortunate
incidents which caused the race to be stopped. During this time there
was a bit of confusion with flags on the course. Part of that was due
to some over-exuberant fans who brought along their own flags which some
drivers mistook for course flags.

To alleviate part of that problem, SSCC has made it a rule that no other
flags may be flown along the course other than the standard course
worker flags. It also became apparent more flags were needed for the
multiple course stations. Team Pantera Racing made a pledge on the SSCC
message board to donate some flags to SSCC to help make sure there were
enough on course in case of difficulties.

Today Team Pantera Racing made a donation of five brand new Red flags
for the course. We purchased these from Flags! Georgia. You can find
them here:
http://www.unflags.com

These were the least expensive we could find on the Internet and they
are being shipped directly to SSCC headquarters.

We pray they are -never- needed. However, we also understand the
importance of course safety and in Open Road Racing there are pretty
much only two really important flags...
Red to prevent you running into an accident down the road, and...
Checkered, so you know the race is over.

Have fun out there, and be safe.
Asa Jay

--
Asa Jay Laughton, MSgt, USAFR, Retired
& Shelley Marie
Spokane, WA
******************************
http://www.racingagainstautism.com
<a target="_blank"
