<table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" border="0" ><tr><td valign="top" style="font: inherit;">Given that my wife, a seasoned naviguesser, told me to stop during that race because she saw a red flag waving (a moment later before I had slowed much she said disregard) I am darned glad about the ruling. As far as I'm concerned they should also have a green flag out there - if you pass a flag station and don't see any flags did that mean everything is OK or you missed it... Actually l don't think it was others waving flags at cars, I think
it was other flags that were put up stationary along the course to
show pride. Unfortunately they flapped in the wind and caused some
drivers to wonder what was happening (the colors were too similar to
course flags). Others just ignored them if they weren't being waved
by a course worker.<br>

[TPR] Team Pantera Racing donates flags to Silver State
Classic Challenge<br>

The 2010 Silver State Classic Challenge had a couple of
unfortunate <br>
incidents which caused the race to be stopped. During this
time there <br>
was a bit of confusion with flags on the course. Part of
that was due <br>
to some over-exuberant fans who brought along their own
flags which some <br>
drivers mistook for course flags.<br>
<br>
To alleviate part of that problem, SSCC has made it a rule
that no other <br>
flags may be flown along the course other than the standard
course <br>
worker flags. It also became apparent more flags were
needed for the <br>
multiple course stations. Team Pantera Racing made a pledge
on the SSCC <br>
message board to donate some flags to SSCC to help make sure
there were <br>
enough on course in case of difficulties.<br>
<br>
Today Team Pantera Racing made a donation of five brand new
Red flags <br>
for the course. We purchased these from Flags! Georgia.

These were the least expensive we could find on the Internet

are being shipped directly to SSCC headquarters.<br>

much only two really important flags...<br>
Red to prevent you running into an accident down the road,
and...<br>
Checkered, so you know the race is over.<br>
