Hi Dennis, 

Well, 2025 has been full of headlines of all sorts, but we’re  happy to report an under-the-radar story - big wins for the SEMA Action Network (SAN) across the first four months of this year.

That’s right, while partisan shouting is on the news and social media every day, we are seeing real victories for our car-loving community. Consider what we’ve seen so far:

✅ Congress is using the Congressional Review Act (CRA) to overturn California’s electric vehicle mandate - an action that will protect automobile choice not only in California but the numerous other states that automatically implement California emissions laws.

✅ Maryland, Illinois, and West Virginia are also passing delays or outright bans on implementing similar EV mandates, further protecting vehicle choice at a state level.

✅ Speaking of states, we are succeeding in our work to preserve racetracks and fight for the racing community across the country, from Oregon to Arkansas.

✅ Then, back in the state where so many car enthusiasts call home, we’ve teamed up with car legend Jay Leno in California to pass a bill bearing his name, Leno’s Law, to reduce burdens and costs on owners of classic cars.

And we’re just getting started! We’re not going to back down on any of these fights, or any of the ones yet to come, but it’s important for us to take this moment to thank all of our supporters and followers and fellow gearheads out there who have been there with us.

These wins, and our whole movement, are made possible by the people who are willing to take a few minutes every now and then to send a letter to a congressperson, call their state representative, or even just share our content on social media. We’re here to be your voice, and we’re grateful to all of you who have lent us yours in this fight.
