Thanks Tony...thats with 4.22 correct or taller gears??...I found when I went to 3.77 1st gear became allot more useful....but with the adder HP/TQ I would be smart to go 1st the 3rd and then 5th...make sense?

 I don’t normally use 2nd and 4th gear. 80% of the time it’s 1st, 3rd 5th. This engine has plenty of torque.

Thank you sir! Tony shared the torque is so strong he doesn't even use 1st gear...for him if I recall correctly (Tony sanity check?) he goes 2nd to 4th & 5th)....I have the taller gears but with this added TQ I could see breaking gears pretty quickly. Bob Benson mentioned the same thing.....that is baby that ZF.
Sounds like a plan!

ENVIOUS!!!!!!VERY Much sooooo!!!!!!!!
Never EVER a substitute for Cubic Inches!!!HP is great....but the torque that comes w CI's.....is amazing!!!First thing you'll notice: how much less shifting you'll do!!
HP is how fast an engine can do work.TORQUE is how much work it can do!!

Subject: [TPR] Going Faster Yo My Peeps,I have always had a goal (okay a dream) to go 200 MPH on a real road in my Pantera. To be more specific, a Pantera that is Ford-powered of course and do it on pump gas with no turbos or superchargers.
A few years ago that would have been a lofty goal for a street Pantera. That is until I talked to Tony Ortiz and he told me about his small block 454ci engine. Soon as I saw it (no HEARD it!) I was sold. . .650-700HP, low compression on pump gas! Get outta here right?
After failing to reach Tony's builder who may have went out of business during Covid, I reached out to 2 or 3 other race engine builders but that was when I spoke to Bob Benson who turned me on to Danny Mazzelli out of Morgan Hill, California who built Bob's latest race engine for his Pantera.
Danny Mazzelli (aka Porkchop) has the grit and the confidence of someone who has built allot of Ford race engines. He did not blink an eye on the small block Clevor, with the Dart block with all the best components and modifications to the block, heads and intake. What ultimately sold me with Danny was his willingness to guarantee his build. Before Russ Fulps passed away that was always Russ' guarantee. Which was add the cooling modifications and keep your RPM under 7,000 he would guarantee his builds and that is exactly what Russ did with my 381ci stroker in 2008 and did again in 2018 the last time I needed an overhaul due to a leaking 2-piece rear main seal (RMS) leak...from what I have heard the Dart blocks are all 1-piece.
Ron McCall will be building the custom stainless steel headers. A flowed and blueprinted double pumper (850cfi). Asa Jay Laughton has upgraded the suspension system, and made some aero mods and a few other minor subtle changes will also be improved.
Denny Finn will be doing all the install and tune work. There are several UTUBE video's of small block Windsor 450-460ci strokers and I have watched them all. Huge HP & TQ numbers all under 6500 R's_______________________________________________
