Hey all,
Today Tony drove the Pantera for qualifying. 10 laps (shortened session due to prior off road excursions in the prior session that has to be cleared).
We came early to do minor tweaks to the toe and brake bias. Then our session was at 1:30 Eastern.
The car ran well with minor concerns that we are now making adjustments for. It was beautiful on track. The only Pantera here and it looks like it belongs here.
Tire temps indicate a little more camber in the rear is needed on this track, which the guys are working on now. The rear brake bias is still a little off and we’ll be making another minor adjustment there.
The team feels good considering how brutal this course is on cars. Consider they took the Norma out on test day and it cracked the roll bar frame. The Pantera is being seriously tweaked here. She is being put through paces challenging her every lap and she still looks awesome.
We race tomorrow into Sunday. Meanwhile here is some eye candy race car porn;

Brake temperature paint; apply then run the race. The mustard color is what we’re shooting for. The red indicates not enough temp in the brakes compared to the front. That means the rears aren’t applying as much as the fronts, do we make a bias adjustment.

Air to oil cooler for the ZF. They plan to move this up front at a later date because it doesn’t get as cool as they would like

Shoes off and relaxing while we massage her.

Mark Skwarek drove 100 miles to hang with the crew today. Mark on the left, Steve Lisa in the middle and me on the right. My Pantera now Steve’s Pantera in the picture.
Having a great time,
Asa Jay
