Yep just a little stubby bolt but great suggestion on vulcan glue and getting home as if there is a downside to new cars is they do not  Habe spares! I also had a couple C02 cartridges in my pantera for years until they day I needed them for leaking tire. It got me home
 thanks Dave,

Dennis

Bolt in tire: apparently it didn’t go too deep.  But DON’T hesitate to stop by auto store or tire dealer.  Get cold vulcanizing glue.  Small tube.  Squirt it into hole were bolt was.  It just helps heal that spot…..prevent a little stone chip from finding a new home….& keeps water away from lining/cords of tire. ( even if they aren’t exposed now.)

Sometimes you can buy a little tube of glue they use for tire patching/plug kits.

They’re just expensive tires to protect.

We used to have problems with semi truck tires…..& rocks get stuck in tread….a literally ‘DRILL’ they’re way into tread till it leaks. ( might take a month….who knows)

Black silicone works…..but it doesn’t bind well….nor last near as long.  But in a pinch: we’d have drivers pull out nail or screw….apply silicone to a screw…..screw it into tire to get them back to shop….where I could fix it proper.

It was a ‘last ditch’ effort…..but it worked every time.  ( but I never let it go more than a day or two…til they got home.

But if bolt was in tread & never got deep…..no worries.

Live, Love, Laugh!!!!!!

If that doesn’t work:

LOAD, AIM, FIRE!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Viking!

I hope to be. Paul Katchadourian wants to run it as well….anyone else interested in joining us?

PS Checked tires today and found a bolt in one of the tires….Luckily it was short and tire did not (yet) loose any air.

I know at least 3 of you have C8 and or Z06’s on order for your back-up ‘OTHER’ car and wanted to say Asa did my 5-point on C8 today.

It was an all day job as seats and trim etc had to be removed, plastic and some upolstry around rear speaker  had to be cut and glued back into place. The lap belt is still used and harness sits behind seat when not racing.

But it all looks great. Very happy with the work Asa did and his hourly rate is very fair.

Thanks Asa!

MD
