To put  a face to this day who made the ultimate sacrifice, Sgt William ‘Billy’ James was killed in action in Iraq in 2004.
Billy grew up and went to high school with my boys in Huntington Beach. When 9-11 happened Dominic went Navy and Billy joined the Marines. 
God Bless You Billy. You made a huge impact on my family. ❤️

My biggest bitch thru all that was the broken promises to our allies. Example: Nixon and Kissinger promised the Vietnamese $ 6 billion in aid to rebuild Vietnam in 1973. Congress never approved the payment or approved President Ford’s funding for even $157 million to evacuate the Vietnamese who faced execution and years of prison and starvation. 
Yep, lots of American promises made and most all broken. 
Yea, Memorial Day for me is not a happy day.
