SSCC Race Director sent this to me to share.
New rule is that a roll bar while highly recommended for speeds under 160 is no longer required except for convertibles!
In discussion with Frank it would appear that the SSCC attorney wrote this to say safety is responsibility of drivers and those who want to run Grand Touring or Grand Sport speeds at less then a 160 MPH tech speed may do so at their own peril without a roll bar or cage.
As mentioned before I do recommend at a minimum a harness bar for Grand Touring so a 5-point harness can be installed and a roll bar on any speeds above Grand Touring.
For Touring division speeds OEM lap style belts in good condition for will pass for speeds under 124 mph.
No changes to tire tech meaning Tech is still going to be hard on old tires and tires that show track wear or any excessive wear.
If any if you have a comment or question let me know. Right now the only two TPR members planning to run Pantera’s in Sept. are Lee and Chris. Asa and I will be there to welcome you! 🙂
Thanks
Dennis
