On my second winter road trip. 9 hour road trip today from Oregon to SF/SAC and the ridr was so awesome. 

Dealer was telling me guys downshifting with paddles forgetting what is up and what is down and blowing the engine. My understanding is you can crash the engine and/or trans if you are not paying attention. 
Pretty clear to me though as the upshift paddle is on the right with a BIG + sign. Downshift paddle on the left again with a big - sign. Or maybe its visa versaLOL
