Hi all,

Another open road race is in the history books. This year we had three Panteras entered for the Silver State Classic Challenge.

Dennis Antenucci in his Black Pantera
John Bentley in his Yellow Pantera
Randy Grubb in his Orange Pantera

Mark Skwarek was unable to make the event in his Pantera due to unforeseen circumstances. Chris Terp also had to cancel at the very last minute although the team continued to provide encouragement up to the last second.

On Race day, Sunday September 18, all three Panteras made their way to the truck stop in Lund for pre-grid. It was then that John Bentley found his Pantera was not running as well as expected so he elected to not start the race and thereby avoid potential damage at high speed.

Dennis and Randy did start and both finished. Dennis in the 145 class and coming in fourth place with a respectable time variance of 0.4 seconds, and Randy who put a little extra effort in to obtain a 111.9 MPH average, nearly fastest in class.

Both cars easily made the return trip to Ely on their own as well, where the banquet was held later that evening.

We would like to give a special Thank You to all of our sponsors this year who helped make Team Pantera Racing participation possible.
