And that, dear MD, was precisely my POINT!

Great idea Laurie thanks.

These posts taken from De Tomaso Intl. Facebook page today about The "Late" Dale Armstrong. If you're a facebook user, join if you haven't as yet. You can have your car be Pantera of the day (as I surprisingly was a few days ago)!

Of course we're talking 300 mph (in dragsters, Nascars etc) ... but why think small? First though, take a VERY CLOSE look at the acronym R.I.P. If you keep this up you'll have to establish if there's a Pantera meeting place for everyone after departure... and then MD can have Drenske and Fulps do up his car again. Lee Pedersen makes the most sense thus far. Thank you Lee!
You can be partially crazy but I'd strongly advise you try to stay safe!

Dave Adler"The late Dale Armstrong and his beloved Pantera. Top Fuel Crew Chief for Kenny Bernstein's first 300 MPH quarter mile run. He had a mannerism like Tom Tjaarda. Kind, intelligent, thoughtful and passionate about racing. R.I.P."
Nancy HarbertDale was an amazing man and made Canadians proud. He sold us a car and while spending time with him I asked "what are you most proud of". After digging out a box that had a bunch of destroyed spark plugs, he proclaimed this! I just didn't get it. Dale said the box should be in the Smithsonian. He said to look what is said on the side.......301.70. The plugs out of the first 300 mph run. Dale then said, it will never be broken, nobody will make it into the 3's (this run took 4.82 seconds) and the next plateau is 400 mph. People will die before that happens.......he was right.....Scott Kalitta passed and less than a month later NHRA dropped Top Fuel and Funny cars to 1,000 ft races. Between the advance of technology and lack of run out room at tracks, the change had to be made._______________________________________________
