Golden had a good rule of thumb:
Extra-speed.....NO problem!!!  It just takes money!!
At 200, it roughly takes 100 hp to go 10mph faster!!

In 1992 or so before Jr. built the tube frame race car  he averaged something around 177 mph In a stock bodied Pantera. IMO Pretty impressive.

 But by 1995  the Pantera steel shertmetal came off and was replace with alum body panels and with the exception of rhe rear deck lid there were no pantera body or chassis pieces or at least few. He ran as I recall a full race big block Ford of over 600 ci….with 850 Hp. And in 1997 he crashed in that same race Pantera and that was the end of his ORR career.

IMO impressive as he ran Unlimited Division for 8 year (SS, NORC, and Pony) and most of those years was in a real Pantera.

I think it’s a shame there isn’t a new Pantera to compete directly with the C8. 850k is a little steep :)
