[TPR] Ford vs Ferrari

Yo My Peeps,

Saw THE movie today. No advance spoilers but would like to share a funny story which the  Jim Hall fans may appreciate. 

I was in the army based at Bad Tolz Germany in 1966 and couldn’t wait to go to LeMans which I did with some pals that year before heading to Nam in 67.

All of us had laid down bets on who would win. Guys were evenly split between The Ford GT40, Ferrari, and Jim Hall’s Chaparral.  Of course the Shelby/Ford team pulled off the 1-2-3 win so no spoiler alert here....but the acting and photography in the film are great. 

And if you don’t have a great time watching this movie knowing the heavyweights that ran these teams back in the day then you need to turn your Pantera (JB) or GT40 car keys (MikeT) into to ME...yea no “I” in team but there is a ME. 😉
