Another reminder on tires. Be sure BEFORE you pay for new tires you get an understanding from dealer of the tire DATES.

Tire Rack has some good tire sales but manny of the tires they have are based on some FUBAR “first in last out” system. You will get the usual we will try and send you the freshest or newest tires and tell you they can’t check or promise tire dates.

If you still have 15, 16, or 17” inch wheels you are going to find your options are very limited....I have 17/18 wheels and even those tire options are limited. Whoever you buy your tires from make sure you get a guarantee or do NOT accept them.

Eric Pettersen will accept W, Y Or Z speed rated tires it as I have said before his personal thinking is even if you are running in the “Touring Class” his position if you have a car that will go 150+ mph you now need a minimum Z Or Y rates tires.

Yea it was the BoBo in the Ferrari Testarosa who had V rated (149 MPH) rated tires and “promised” to keep his speeds under 150 and then went out on course and blew a tire at 180!!

Huge lawsuit. So Eric and the other SSCC board members are on the hook.

So look-like-new or new (OLD) tires, or tracked tires, cracked or worn tires etc ain’t gonna pass tech so read the rules and direct your questions to Eric Peterson.

Right now I know Paul is having a hellva time finding the correct tires for his Viper so don’t wait to read the tech tire rules for your division/class.

And that again was Mark who hit 168+ mph in one mile shoot out but wasn’t able to compete in the road race due to engine concerns. Bob and Bud and Frank were all on Wait List and could not compete. Proving once again how popular this ORR is and the limited number of NDOT Entry’s does not help.
