[TPR] SS UPDATES

Went on my shakedown cruise today.  Charlie and I drove from Santa Clara to Wolfson's meat market in Gustine to get some steaks.  She said it was loud and hot (the Cleveland symphony orchestra in the rear).  Wolfson's has an awesome marinated skirt steak and I was out so might as well run an errand while on the test drive. It was about 2 hours in each direction with speeds right up to the speed limit or so :).  Only had room for a small flexible cooler over the center console so only got about 20 steaks and a few packages of sausage!
Had a few backfires on tip-in below 3000 so gotta look into that.  Idle still sucks.  Blew a little oil out the breather hole in the valve cover but noticed I forgot to put in the breather so that is expected.  New engine has an estimated 13 hp below 2000 rpm but pulls like a mule above 3500.  Got about 13 mpg round trip at "highway" speeds.  Difficult to pull away from lights since its so anemic below 2000.  I'll live with it. :)
Time to finish assembly of engine cover, upholstery and center console then put in the third leg of the the roll bar.  Almost ready.  12 days from now I'll be in Ely kicking the DaWg.

Took His ride to body shop to do temp repair on golf ball dimple... will pick it back up Tuesday and run it up to 200 to check aero affects...and have a trusted mechanic friend check suspension...looking at a new paint job as paint stress cracks on back of the car and deck lid run off the trailer will require repaint....Haggerty folks again golden...paying full body shop estimate and agree to pay more on a supplement if I need new deck lid and chrome bumpers...assuming body man can not fix.

DAWG STOCK COLOR?
Thinking  black again or Lambo metallic orange like Mark or royal purple like before or Yellow like GERRY and JB or some other stock House of Colors. But that’s all AFTER SS....next week I will dump break in oil add new oil and filter...and of course polish allot. And get ready for Asa and dream team (Laurie Ferrari, The German & Crazy Dave #2) arrival

Hearing DanC “what is the smoke in your Panterathat smells like  weed?” is now thinking about returning....to see if he can win best outta 3 competition 😉hopefully others may be working in the shadows...guys  with pretty twin turbo charged 1,000 Hp Panteras😉🦄
