[TPR] Oil temp question.

Okay, we have a Pantera with an external oil cooler.  It's a water-to-oil cooler.  The top of the cooler is plumbed through an external oil filter and then to the center tap of an adapter at the oil filter location on the block.

The question is if the center tap of the oil filter location is hot side of oil exiting  the block.  The other side of the cooler is tapped to the outside of the adapter at the oil filter location on the block.

The oil temp sender is at the top location of the cooler, and not the oil pan as originally expected.

The concern is that previously oil temps were running at 200 and now run closer to 250.  The difference is that the engine has been out and back in and we're not sure if the shop hooked the oil cooler up correctly or not.  Or if it would be better to have the temp sensor in the pan.

I'll be trying to research the  oil path as well, while I'm waiting for feedback.

Thank you,
Asa  Jay
